What exactly do you mean by a hybrid design process?
Third Street Interiors provides you with all the elements to create a beautiful space without the mark-ups and installation fees of full-service design firms. We work closely with you throughout the planning phase to ensure the final design concept meets your room’s functional and aesthetic goals. However, all sourced items are shipped directly to your house, and the assembly, installation, and execution of the design is managed by you to make the process more cost effective and efficient.
Installation guidelines are provided to assist with the final assembly of the room, and local contractors can be recommended when applicable. Third Street Interiors can also provide an additional styling session to ensure the finishing touches are just right!
What is a typical budget for your projects?
Third Street Interiors works with a wide range of budgets and strives to find the best price for each sourced item. We believe that having a home you love does not need to cost a fortune! Mixing high and low is a great way to curate your home while stretching your budget. Investing in higher quality pieces for furniture and saving on rugs, accessories, and decor allows for a beautiful home that is still family-friendly and affordable. We have designed a variety of rooms with budgets spanning from $3,000 (even less for some small spaces and finishing touches) to upwards of $20,000. While we are happy to accommodate most budgets, please keep in mind that a lower budget may impact the quality of the items recommended.

Do you have access to trade discounts?
Third Street Interiors has trade accounts at several of the retailers noted above, and when possible, those discounts will be shared with you. All items are shipped directly to your home, and you manage the installation process to allow for a more cost-effective design process.
Do you offer design packages for new construction or remodeling projects?
At this time, Third Street Interiors is not providing design services for new construction or extensive remodeling projects. However, we can assist with kitchen and bathroom refreshes by selecting new paint colors for existing cabinets, new countertops and backsplashes, new vanities, new light fixtures, and new hardware. Local contractors may be recommended by Third Street Interiors, but must be contacted and hired by you.
Third Street Interiors plans to expand its breadth of services in the future to include more extensive remodeling packages. Please reach out if you have this need!
What if I don’t live in Chicago?
Third Street Interiors is located in the western suburbs of Chicago, but we can transform your space anywhere (in the USA) with our virtual design services. The design process remains similar regardless of your location, but for e-design, all meetings will be virtual and you will be responsible for providing the room’s measurements and other details.
